There seems to be a lot to be discouraged about in the midst of news about lethal conflicts in the Middle East, Africa, and the Ukraine; reports about people suffering poverty, crime, and violence. However, Dori will tell us that people are actually thriving better than at any time in the past. She will talk about why negative information habitually dominates the positive, while offering an encouraging and inspiring perspective with which to view today’s human condition.

Dori LeCroy earned a doctorate from The City University of New York. She organized the first conference in NYC in the then new field of Evolutionary Psychology, and edited the Proceedings of this conference, Perspectives of Human Reproductive Strategies, which was published by the New York Academy of Science. In addition to other published papers and conference presentations, Dori has extensive teaching experience as a college lecturer.
