Unitarian Universalists are composers in community, of community. Our faith tradition gathers around meaning that is composed, not imposed. The community exists in the tension between the boundaries of communal agreements and the freedom of individual experience and choices. We live in a network of shared promises that include, among others, the covenant of life itself, the covenants of faith and our promises with ourselves.
