Five years ago this Sunday, we packed up to move the Sunday service to Agudas Israel while we renovated the sanctuary. It was a big commitment and change. The reflection for the day was “Dad’s Tackle Box.” When my dad was a young man, he made a wooden tackle box. He helped my brothers and I restock the box each summer. Dad made sure we had what we needed in order to be able to do what we wanted to do. On Father’s Day we remember how our Fathers helped us stock our personal tackle boxes and look back on our UUFH transition.
