Our Fourth UU principle reads, “We covenant to affirm and promote the free and responsible search for truth and meaning.” We may not know how radical and revolutionary this principle is, yet it is a guiding principle that is deeply rooted in both the Universalist and Unitarian traditions. We will explore this tradition and how important this principle is for the formation of our spiritual lives.

Ernie began his ministry in the United Methodist Church, and was ordained to the UU ministry in 2007. He has served as minister of the Unitarian Universalists of Transylvania County since 2002, prior to which he was Chaplain and Instructor at Brevard College. Ernie has visited us many times before, but we have not seen him for quite a while and are happy to welcome him back.
