The Social Justice Team announces the yearly call for nominations for the UUFH Unsung Hero Award.

The award process and criteria is simple:

Nominees should be UUFH members who have made and/or are making a solid continuing contribution to UUFH and/or the larger community.

Please think about the folks you know in this congregation. One person may keep coming to mind. If so, please don’t hesitate to put her/his name in nomination for the award.

Submit a one- or two-page summary telling us why you believe this person deserves the award; include your contact information and that of the nominee. Address your nomination to the SJOT “Unsung Hero Award” Committee and leave it in a sealed envelope in the designated box on the table in the church foyer or mail to the UUFH office.

Submissions will be accepted through April 30.

An appointed committee will review the submissions and select this year’s honoree. A certificate will be presented to that individual at a prearranged Sunday service, and his or her name will be added to the plaque of past award recipients posted in Fellowship Hall.

For information, or if you have questions, please contact Charlotte Corrigan or Liz Snively via the UUFH office.
