The UUFH Board voted recently to become a partner with Creation Care Alliance (CCA), a network of congregations united around a moral and spiritual call to preserve the integrity, beauty, and health of the Earth. Their mission is to engage hearts and minds through education, service, and advocacy. In June 2014, CCA officially became a program of the environmental organization, Mountain True.
Some of CCA’s plans include hosting clergy gatherings, public educational events, and panels to offer more resources to congregations regarding energy efficiency and education; to explore ways to support creatures and people with bird and people friendly gardens; and to offer ways to have green food potlucks.
The Director of Creation Care Alliance of WNC, Rev. Scott Hardin-Nieri, will be speaking at our Sunday service on July 24.
