Our first SJOT Outreach Collection for the year addresses the local issue of low-income housing. Housing is a critical need in our community; we all read with horror the stories about Alpine Woods. To address this local crisis, SJOT invites your support of Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC). The organization is committed to providing safe and affordable housing for persons of limited income. As they proclaim, every human being deserves the opportunity to live in a decent home. HAC offers apartments, home repair, self-help housing, and new homes, as well as home-buyer education. We hope you will give generously, and we invite you to consider volunteering with this incredible local resource.
