We have Joan Jackson to thank for introducing Peggy and Ed Law to the UUFH.

Peggy became a member in 2011 after only two visits. Peggy has told many of us that she thought they were going to have to move from Hendersonville, but then she found UUFH and found her people! Having retired from a 35-year career in the financial services field, Peggy had time on her hands and became very active in the life of the Fellowship. She served three years on the Board of Directors, has been a member of the Finance and Personnel Committees, and now chairs the Memorial Committee. Her community involvement ranges from helping with political campaigns to volunteering at Elizabeth House and with the Humane Society, and she is currently on the board of Feed the Kids. In her spare time, Peggy loves to bake (providing wonderful cakes and cookies at many UUFH events), and is learning to sew and play the guitar.

Ed, retired from the U.S. Navy and a civilian engineering career, is a UUFH friend and usually is in the sound booth during Sunday services. Peggy describes him as a late-in-life activist. If there’s a march around or a cause that needs him, Ed is usually involved! His other passions include photography and painting.

Peggy and Ed moved to Hendersonville from Scottsdale, AZ. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.
