Well, the people have spoken — and yes, after November 9, 2016, that voice still counts for something! The consensus is that we will continue our dialogue On The Subject of Race with a few tweaks here and there. The first tweak is that we will be meeting on Thursday evenings beginning on January 26th. The time is the same, 6pm-8pm.

Meeting dates are:

  • Thursday, January 26
  • Thursday, February 16
  • Thursday, March 23

Secondly, our talks will center around the DVDs entitled, Back To Eden. From the award winning director of The Color of Fear, comes Lee Mun Wah’s film about nine women and men who begin an honest and emotionally charged conversation about how racism and sexism has affected their lives and families. Each of their stories is filled with history, courage, and wisdom. Their  voices and struggle remind us how much further we still need to go.

The format is still the same with conversations and insights to be shared before and after the film.  Rev. Jim McKinley and Rev. Michael J Carter will facilitate.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in the New Year!
