We are gifted individuals… no doubt! Among those gifts are social organizing, passions for justice, and quiet courage. How can we amplify them? Consider ourselves individuals “tethered” together in groups. At what point does the group’s energy and power become a more obvious and welcome force for change? If we lie low, wait for others, expect the next Martin Luther King, Jr., we conspire in our own diminishment. If everything that passes unattempted remains impossible, will our ignorance of the impossible, if there is a Judgment Day, mock us? But what if I am the hero both I and my world have been waiting for? A hero-in- waiting!

In his 12th visit to our pulpit, Marc Mullinax, professor of religion at Mars Hill University, will advance the notions that while our individualities are important enough, they are nothing compared to the force for good we are when we voluntarily unite in common cause and purpose.
