Joan Kahn-Schneider was ordained into the Unitarian Universalist Ministry in 1980, and served congregations in Michigan, Ohio, and New York. She was Director for Ministerial Education at the UUA for two years, and in 1998 became an intentional interim minister, serving congregations in several states. Joan has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Antioch College, a Master of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH, and Master of Education in Organization and Management from Antioch New England Graduate School. Before ministry Joan raised four children, was a family therapist, and owned and operated a small neighborhood bookstore.
