Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman are some of the heroes in the Justice League of America. But we don’t need superpowers to act in love, justice, and peace. In fact, real-life heroes never start out with the goal of being heroic. We all can work for justice, equality, and compassion in human relations. Tights and capes not required.

Meg and Todd met in Baltimore in the early 90’s while serving as full-time volunteers at a residential hospice for people with AIDS. They have been in healthcare related fields ever since.

Meg works for Asheville’s Care Partners Hospice and is the campaign manager for State Senate Candidate Norm Bossert. She hosted postcard parties through Progressive Women of Hendersonville every week for a year after the last inauguration.
Todd, besides being an RN at a hospice house, is a singer-songwriter with four recordings under his belt and a fifth to be released soon. He donates 100% of the proceeds from his CD sales to charity. Todd ran his 11th marathon earlier this year.
