Continuing UUFH’s theme of Gratitude, Marc Mullinax returns to thoughtfully address the inter-relationship of Gratitude and Interruptions.
“What!?” you say. We get interrupted many times per day. Maybe the interruptions are nuisances, but what if they are occasions something extraordinary and novel? Maybe each interruption provides one more reason to be thankful. If gratitude builds character, and if interruptions are occasions for gratitude, this throws a whole new light on that annoying co-worker, the flat tire, and the power outage.
Marc Mullinax, a popular speaker at UUFH, is a Professor of Philosophy and Religion at Mars Hill College. He recently completed a year-long sabbatical with his wife, Grace, in South Korea.
