If I were to put the cure to all of the world’s ills in one simple sentence, I would say, “People don’t listen to each other.” It has always been thus, and doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Let’s talk about it. Better yet, let’s listen to one another.
Joan Kahn-Schneider has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Antioch College, a Master of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH, and Master of Education from Antioch New England Graduate School. After being ordained into the UU Ministry in 1980, Joan served congregations in several states, following which she spent two years as Director for Ministerial Education at the UUA. In 1998, she became an intentional interim minister and served congregations in a variety of locations. Joan was a member of the first (and perhaps only) class of Unitarian Universalist intentional interim ministers to be trained and accredited by the Interim Ministry Network. In 2000 she retired from full time ministry to the mountains of Western North Carolina with her husband Charlie, who died in 2006.
