VAT is the acronym for Visitor Awareness Team, a relatively new “division” of your Membership Committee. The purpose of VAT is to help insure that our visitors are included in conversation during our “coffee and conversation” social time after worship services. This is where a new person may first experience inclusion… that vital link to feeling a part of our Fellowship. We celebrate and proclaim inclusion. We experience personal and community growth through inclusion.
A vital aspect of our community, our Fellowship, is that of acceptance. How does the VAT team do this? It’s very simple: by being aware of the presence of visitors, by initiating conversation, and by introducing other UU members to the newcomer.
Thank you to our VAT members: Susan Holt, Susan and Aubrey Harris, Susan White, Galen Carland, Robin Grainger, Wanda Hughes, Joe Robustelli, Sally Vice, Liz Snively, Regina Hutchinson, and Cheryl Snyder.
If you’d like to be a part of this auspicious group, give Susan Maybin a call or email the office.
