Fran and Bob German are self- proclaimed “Ju-Bu-nitarians,” since first visiting UUFH in 2003! Yes, they are Jewish, Buddhists, and UUs.
Both were born and raised in Chicago, and met during their first week at Indiana University in 1958.They have been married 55 years, have three children and four grandchildren. Their goal in life is to “die young…as late as possible!”
They served the Fellowship on the Outreach Committee, created the Personal Growth Forum, and revamped the Adult Education Programming. Over the years, Bob and Fran have presented several talks, including: Jewish Migration to the South, and Law of Attraction, Life in Thailand, and Human Trafficking.
They are master instructors in Qigong, and started a free class nine years ago. Students can benefit in many ways: increasing energy, lowering stress levels, improving circulation, assisting the respiratory and digestive systems, reducing blood pressure, improving sleep, and improving balance and flexibility. Classes are held in Fellowship Hall on Wednesdays at 4:30pm.
Bob and Fran are active volunteers and supporters of several non-profit organizations, and continue to be involved in anti-child trafficking in Northern Thailand.
They founded “Young at Any Age Project” to share ideas on healthy living and purposeful lifestyle. To receive their bi-monthly newsletter, visit BobnFran.com/signup.
