A Special Announcement from Joe Robustelli and the Concert Committee
Mark Your Calendars for BROTHER SUN! Saturday, July 15th

I am very excited to say that UUHF has the opportunity to host Brother Sun for a concert on Saturday, July 15th, and possibly a Sunday service on July 16th.

Brother Sun’s Greg Greenway, Pat Wictor, and Joe Jencks are veteran nationally touring singer songwriters. They are like no other group I have ever Brother Sun band membersheard. They fuse folk, Americana, blues, pop, jazz, rock and a Capella singing. In 2013, their CD, “Some Part of the Truth”, the number one CD for 2013, included “Lady of the Harbor”, the number one song for that year. In 2016, Brother Sun released it’s third CD, “Weights and Wings”, which was named the number one folk album for 2016. Greg, Pat and Joe have appeared at festivals all over the country and frequently perform before UU congregations.

They will be at the Southeastern Unitarian Universalist Summer Institute in Cullowhee this summer, and their appearance at UUFH will give great visibility to our Fellowship as they enjoy a significant local following, having performed at Isis and in Waynesville. Their appearance at UUFH will be widely promoted by the group as this is their final year together after seven years of making glorious music. Greg, Pat and Joe have decided to pursue their individual careers, as traveling and time away from family came at too high a cost.

If you are as excited as I am about bringing this award-winning group to UUFH, would you like to help sponsor their performance? This concert is in addition to the Concert Committee’s announced 2017 series. Any contribution will be appreciated.

We hope UUFH members and Friends will attend the performance. The suggested donation is $20 per person. Be sure to ask your friends and neighbors to come! This is a special evening that is unlikely to ever come together again.

If you want to help make this magical performance a reality, please contact Joe Robustelli.
