The construction of a home in the Dodd Meadows community in East Flat Rock is a partnership between Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity (HFH).
Both organizations are dedicated to building affordable housing in the communities they serve. The local Habitat affiliate has built nearly two hundred homes since it was founded, remarkable for a small community.
Two more days have been reserved for us, 8/16 and 9/13. If you would like another chance to employ your skills on this project. Some slots are still available. For more information, contact Rich DeSimone.
“Hofer Court,” a street in Dowd Meadows, honors two longtime UUFH members, Richard and Gloria Hofer, were active workers at Habitat many years. Gloria managed their thrift store and Dick had a major role in creating their warehouse. (Gloria is the lady selling Ingles gift cards every Sunday!)
