Here we are in December. What does the holiday season mean to you? Does it mean endless lists and obligations? Do you take the time you need to treasure the moments of being with those you love and enjoying the traditions of the season, or do you rush headlong from one thing to the next, trying to find just the right gift or make the perfect dish?
For me, it means family. The best part of this season for me is the opportunity to be with those I love. Our children are now adults and live in different places making our moments together very precious. That’s why December means so much to me. Sure, there is an increased need “to get things done,” but I urge you to balance that with bringing meaning to this holiday season by treasuring the time we all have together.

Parent’s Night Out
Saturday, Dec. 2, 5-8:30pm, Fellowship Hall
What is one thing parents and caregivers need in early December? Some time for themselves! We will provide that for you on Saturday night giving you time to shop, dine, and even just relax at home. We will give the children a Christmas-themed Evening while you enjoy your free time. Please RSVP to Vicki to reserve a space for this fun evening!
Mitten Tree Sunday
Sunday, Dec. 3, Sanctuary
Our annual Mitten Tree collection begins in December. Please gather mittens, scarves, hats, gloves, and other gifts of warmth to decorate our tree. It will stay up through the month of December to gather all the warmth it can before its bounty is distributed in our community.
No Rehearsal Christmas Pageant
Sunday, Dec. 10, Sanctuary
Last year we introduced the No Rehearsal Christmas Pageant, and had a great time bringing the Christmas Story to life. We decided to bring it back again this year (now that we know what we are doing!). So come prepared to step up and put on a simple costume, or hold a prop and help us create the Christmas Tableau!
Cookie Bake
Sunday, Dec. 17, Fellowship Hall
What would the holidays be without cookies? Each year, the Family Ministry Program spends the Sunday morning before Christmas baking cookies to be served on Christmas Eve. Come join us as we create baked goodies!
Christmas Eve Carols and Candles Service
Sunday, Dec. 24, 5pm, Sanctuary
Join us for our Carols and Candles Christmas Eve Service. We will gather to sing together, hear the Christmas Story, and light candles to the music of Silent Night. After the service everyone is invited to come downstairs to enjoy the cookies baked by the children and some hot cider before going home to await the arrival of Christmas.
