Cantaria, The Gay Men’s Chorus of Asheville, returns to UUFH for a concert on October 14.
Since 1997, Cantaria has been a community chorus providing the opportunity for gay and gay-supportive men to sing together in WNC. Their goals are musical excellence, social interaction and support, and presenting a positive gay image.
The chorus presents a broad range of music including classical, popular, and show tunes, and has distinguished itself with outstanding performances in this area and beyond. Their singers come from a broad range of careers and musical experiences, and bring a great deal of passion and dedication to their singing.
Ten percent of this concert’s profits will support Loving Food, a food pantry serving people in WNC who are living with HIV/AIDS or in home hospice care.
Cantaria ticket sales begin Sunday, Sept. 24th during coffee hour. The suggested donation is $15 per ticket.
