You can pick from a variety of postcards to write your Congress people and other leaders. They need to keep hearing from us! ALL GENDERS WELCOME! Meet other progressive folks, build community, and drink beer (or wine, or soda).  Dogs and underage folks are welcome in the laid back, open atmosphere. Postcards and postage provided. Donations encouraged!

Center Features Roots Musician Amythyst Kiah in November

The Center for Cultural Preservation is proud to present up-and-coming Johnson City roots musician, Amythyst Kiah.  Amythyst’s commanding stage presence is only matched by her raw and powerful vocals—a deeply moving, hypnotic sound that stirs echoes of a distant and restless past.  She wowed audiences with her cameo performance at the Center’s world premiere of its new film on Appalachian music history in June and the Center is proud to have her back. Faith in Action: Voices for LGBTQ Justice

IAM Needs for November & December

Ham, turkey breasts, turkeys, chickens, stuffing, green beans, yams, potatoes, instant potatoes, peas, gravy, cranberry sauce, bread, pie crusts and filling, cake mixes, and icing are most needed. Clothing Closet needs are coats, jackets, blankets, quilts, sleeping bags, warm clothing, hats, gloves, heavy socks, and boots for adults, teenagers, and children.
