Celebrate National Poetry Month
with Potluck and Poetry

Friday, April 7, 6pm, Fellowship Hall

Well-known and much-loved poet, Rev. Don Keefauver, invites everyone to attend the April 7th Potluck and Poetry event. Held in celebration of April as National Poetry Month, the event features a Potluck dinner at 6:00 pm, followed by a Poetry Reading at 7:00 pm. Rev. Keefauver has charmed us with his poems at several services in the past, and he invites all poets and poetry-lovers to join him on the stage as poems are read, recited and shared.

A special invitation is extended to “budding” poets. Children are encouraged to write a short poem about a favorite pet, season of the year, ice cream, school subject or whatever may be inspired by their lively imaginations. Favorite day of the week? Best friend? A special meal (maybe meatballs and spaghetti?).

We are looking forward to an evening of good food and fellowship and the special talents that will be shared by those who write and/or love poems.

If you’re able to attend, please let us know what you’ll be bringing to the potluck to share. If possible, kindly bring your own place settings. If you’d like to participate in the reading, let us know how many poems you will share (and whether you composed them). You may reply by emailing Donna Gatnarek.
