SJOT is sponsoring a Friday postcard party this month at Hendersonville’s Sanctuary Brewing on Friday, September 29, 4-7 p.m.
Many of you participated in our postcard party in Fellowship Hall last Spring, which focused on our environmental concerns. The upcoming sponsored event is an outreach opportunity for UUFH in the larger community, and our focus will again be environmental issues and concerns.
We have invited Gray Jernigan, the Southern Regional Director for Mountain True, to join us at this event. Information about various environmental issues and contact addresses will be available for
reference.
You can pick from a variety of artistic postcards to write your federal and state representatives and other leaders. They need to hear the voices of their constituents, and of our concerns for the environment.
Come anytime during the event hours and meet others in the community who share your interests in progressive ideas and want to protect our environment for future generations. Write as many postcards as you wish; the cards and postage are on us. Meg Hoke says we will have music!
FYI: SJOT meets at 6:30pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month in Fellowship Hall. The Team welcomes new participants and invites you to join us.
