Come and help shape the group you’ve always wanted to find.
The Sanctuary Brewing Company
Wednesday, January 4 and 18, 6:30-8:00pm
To give the first meeting a name, let’s call it “Soul Matters for Young(er) Adults.”
We’ll reflect and share in good company. Young(er) means somewhere in the range of 20-50 something years old or young or you feel like you fit. Come on!
We’ve got a side area reserved for our group from 6:30-8:00. Join Rev. Jim McKinley (he’s older). It’ll be a lightly organized gathering structured to help us talk easily about topics that may be on our hearts and minds. We’re thinking of reflecting on a prompt that we choose each time; the Soul Matters materials and themes for each month are a good source to think about. But we’ll design the format to fit us.
As an example of a possible prompt for this first meeting before we choose or create one: The January theme is prophecy. Spiritual exercise Option A in the Soul Matters materials raises up the comedian as prophet and asks you to reflect on one from the list of links (compiled post-election) or of your own choosing. See if that or another exercise, question, quote or talk speaks to you. And also bring your personal hope for the group.
There’s no need to prepare, but you are encouraged to check out the Soul Matters materials at the UUFH website. That way we can better decide how or if we want to use them.
And whatever you do, come join us!
