November asks us “What does it mean to be a people of ancestry?” “How do we see ourselves as part of a sacred chain… our choices tell the next chapter. Our choices connect the next link. Our choices pass on that which is precious and remind us we are preciously connected.” As we celebrate our Stone Soup luncheon—our ritual recreation of our community of care—let us consider how our choices connect us with our inheritance from the generations before us and intimately link us with the generations yet to come. We will also have the opportunity to practice our interconnectedness with our Outreach Collection for Youth Hunger.
